Hi... been training consistently for 4 years. Looking to shake things up in the routine. My goal is get as lean/cut as possible, while giving back as little muscle as possible over the next 2 months. I've followed split training routine for years. After reading some articles, i seen it commented that best way to burn fat(while retaining as much muscle as possible while cutting) is full body workouts using the big compound lifts with short rests..basically get your heartrate up.
I'm trying the following...3-4 sets of each exercise: 1) Dips/Military (alternating workouts) 2) Squat 3) Bench 4) SLDL 5) Shrugs/curls (alternating) 6) treadmill
other notes: resting approx 60 seconds or less between sets. I'm also intentionally not getting bench earlier since i've overdone that in the past and alittle out of proportion.
I've just started this and they've been the most "intense" workouts in the tired sense. don't feel the pump(which i expected) but again, i'm solely trying to strip fat, but retain as much musc. as i can
So basically just looking for any comments/suggestions/effectiveness of this type of plan.
