Lescun to Gavarnie - how long to do?

Haven't done precisely this but I have done odds and sods in the
region(Lescun-Lacs d'Ayous-Pombie-Arremoulit; Laruns-Arrens
Marsous-Ilheou-Marcadau-Oulettes de Gaube-Gavarnie) I would allow more than
five days. Check guide books inc Kev Reynolds. Hope this helps.

Five days for this section of the HRP is indeed very optimistic, but not
impossible if you are in excellent physical condition, well acclimatised,
not to heavy loaded and prepared to walk 10+ hours a day.

Instead I'd recommend to start in Etsaut on the GR10 and to pick up HRP at
Lac d'Ayous. If you opt for sleeping in refuges a possible itinerary then
would be:
day 1: Etsaut - Ayous (6h)
day 2: Ayous - Col de Peyreget - Pombie - Arremoulit (9h)
day 3: Arremoulit - Col d'Arremoulit - Respumoso - Col de la Fache - Wallon
(7.5h)
day 4: Wallon - Col d'Arratille - Col des Mulets - Oulettes de Gaube (5h)
day 5: Oulettes de Gaube - Hourquette d'Ossoue - Baysellance - Gavarnie
