A challenging 152-kilometer stage from Stockton to San Jose ended with Levi Leipheimer narrowly retaining his yellow leaderandrsquo;s jersey at the AMGEN Tour of California on Wednesday. John Devine of the USA Cycling National Development Team moved into tenth place in the Best Young Rider classification after a 47th-place effort on the stage. Devine also sits in 70th place overall, 3:54 off the pace of Leipheimer. After a tough day in the saddle, four development team members missed out on the time cut, ending their first USA Cycling Professional Tour experience.
