What do you mean when you use the word "efficiency?"
Energy used to get a certain amount of wattage(power).
If you get 400 watts at a cadence of 100 it takes more energy than if
you do it at a cadence of 70. But for endurance atheletes they can
maintain the 100 for longer than they can the 70. (not a hard and fast
rule, but that's the idea)
So it's more efficient to do the 70 cadence but you're going to end up
being faster over the total distance with a cadence of 100 because you
can maintain that longer.
