What can I make with it besides burgers or a meatloaf?
I'm looking for a lowish-fat, sodium reduced recipe.
If you had more, I would suggest turkey meatballs, tacos, or buritos, but with only a pound, how about frying that ground turkey in a pan with a bit of olive oil, mix in some diced tomatoes, and a cup or two of tomato sauce and heat it until its bubbly, then serve it over your favorite type of pasta.
My daughter had some ground turkey.. can't remember what she made with it, but the texture was horrible. Almost a stringy feel. Was this just poorly ground or perhaps the way she cooked it? I am not a big fan of any ground meat.. so I suppose it wouldn't take much to put me off.
