SO let's hear it. Which bike shops are we talking about?

Look at it this way. You've learnt not to go to them
for advice in the future.

I can't speak about Giants, but I can tell you I've got
10sp Centaur and it's farking great! 🙂

For ~$4K you could get a custom frame with Centaur for sure.
