  1. I'd bought a fillet that was a little over a half pound -- enough for
both of us. When Sister Irene was in town, she mentioned that Sister
Julie has a good recipe for fixing fish in the microwave. Sister Julie
is probably the worst cook in the family. I was a little skeptical, but
if Renie liked it, it couldn't be too bad. I had my sisters mixed up
and called Sister Al and she pointed me towards Julie.
Here's the deal (in order of use):

    Julie's Fish Dish

    Butter or margarine
    Bread crumbse
    Chopped green onion
    Fish fillet
    Lemon juice

Julie gave me some measurements but I didn't measure anything. I'll
    give you some approximations.
Melt a couple tablespoons of butter or margarine in a pie plate in the
    microwave.
Combine a couple tablespoons of bread crumbs* and some chopped green
onion and moosh them around in the butter and nuke for about 2 minutes,
maybe a little more, mooshing occasionally. Remove that from the pie
    plate.
Lay the fish fillet in the pie plate and sprinkle with lemon juice.
Spread the crumb and onion mixture on top of the fish, cover with waxed
paper and nuke for 2-3 minutes (you'll have to figure out the time,
depending on thickness of fish, etc.).
Comments and Notes: *I'd bet the rent that Julie used dried bread
crumbs. I don't have dried on hand so I used a piece of day old Italian
bread and chopped it and the green onion (with some of the green; my
onion was about an inch in diameter) together in my little Cuisinart
chopper thingy. (I'm liking that for small jobs). The crumb mixture
got a little brown and kind of crispy. I will do this again; maybe with
    some fish that's really boring.

We had sweet corn (mediocre, local stuff) and green beans with it.
