I'm looking for a solution that will stop vibration from reaching my laptop when it is carried on my bike. Most panniers or laptop bags clip straight to pannier racks and will therefore pass vibration from the back wheel up through into the bag.
A previous employer gave me a laptop bag which contained a sleeve inside the bag itself. It consisted of a stiff plastic frame with a neoprene "cradle". The cradle meant that the laptop was effectively suspended, and instead of carrying shocks directly would bounce in the cradle. It's a better solution than a foam wrap.
I can't find anything similar in the shops. Does anyone know of anything that sounds like it fits the bill?

Never bothered in three years of commuting myself, I just shove it in the pannier-briefcase I have. And my lap-tops don't seem to go wrong any more often than other peoples'.

Ditto, and my occaisional trip to the station includes a hard packed mud and stone bridleway.
Mine just goes in an old Karrimor clip-on pannier, wrapped in a poly bag incase it rains.
