According to Cyclingnews.com the race is going to be going back to it's traditional start on the island of Langkawi.
The island is on the western side of Malaysia and only a short distance (about 70-80 km, IIRC) from Thailand. Have there been any reports as to the condition of the island relative to the tsunami? It's a hilly island, but not particularly large, and there are plenty of low lying roads.
