  1. Floyd Landis is like an old landmine buried in a field. They both blow
    up unexpectedly without warning. Look out for the LandisMine!

    That's OK, Floyd, we've all been there in our own little ways, whether
    it be the local century ride or crit. You're riding fine and suddenly
    the legs turn to mush. Your mind tells your legs to go, but they don't
    respond, and you keep downshifting to find some smaller gear that your
    quivering legs can handle. And you look at the speedo and you can't
    believe you are working so hard for such a slow pace. "How far til it's
    over," you ask yourself. We ordinary riders know the feeling. We share
    your pain.
