BOGOTA (AP) - Floyd Landis of Team Phonak was detained this afternoon at his vacation home in the outskirts of Bogota, Columbia following a two week UCI investigation that concluded he was using performance enhancing substanced during the time he was competing in the 2006 Tour de France. Landis was unavailable for comment, but his attorney, [censored] DeGuerin says, "Floyd is unequivocably innocent of these charges, and it will be quickly proven in the court of the press as well as the court of Law". If found guilty of the charges Landis could face a lifetime suspension from the cycling world as well as up to 20 years in a French prison. His recent Tour victory would also be stripped from him.
