  1. Hey all,

i have some time off work in a couple of weeks time and have it in mind to spend a day or two in
    the Lakes.

Any ideas on where i can stay with a dog ?

If i choose the silly option and camp, are there any campsites that are open this time of year ?

    Jimbo.

There's one near Hawkeshead - not the posh one - that's little more than a field. The downside of
this is that there is only cold water available over an outside sink, and the toilets are little
more than privies. He's probably open though, and he's cheap. What about the one at Eskdale? IIRC
that one's open all year round... best to check though.

  3. Wasdale NT site is open year round, and even in the snow its only a short
    walk to the Wazzy Head Pub . . . . :-)
