Are any of the so called breakfast meal/drinks (i.e.
Atkins/Slimfast/Carb Solutions/etc.) good/safe for people who are
lactose intolerant?
What specifically do I look for on the contents labels?
Any suggestions to a specific product?
Thank you,
John

Milk or lactose.
Even lactose intolerant people can consume a small amount of lactose- just
not alot. Unless you are allergic to milk (which is not the same as lactose
intolerance), then you should avoid anything milk derived altogether.
Cheese usually has less lactose in it too, also yoghurt, but tolerance to
these products varies.
If it's a powder, you are going to have to add it to soymilk or lactose
reduced milk (Lactaid). You can also take lactase pills that help you
digest milk products.
Lactose intolerance is actually "normal" for most of the world's
population, whereas the ability to digest milk is an adaptation that mostly
northern Europeans alone posesse.

Hello John.
I currently take Isolate whey protein. (contains less than 1% fat and lactose)
