I just want to post something I noticed about the Kurt Kinetic, in case any of ya'll have noticed a similar thing. The average power is reported as the power equal to the power at the average speed of the ride. Since the power speed curve is nonlinear, and since it is concave up, the average power reported will be an underestimate. For what its worth.

If you are talking about the KK speed to power computer I don't think it's off by much. Back in October my 29 minute hill climb on a mountain auto road was 211 watts and my 15 minute hill climb was 226 watts. My 20 minute TT on the KK was 222 watts that month maybe I just have the tires that match the power curve. I can't wait until the snow melts to compare it to the hill climbs again because alot of the power forum guys are making me doubt it's accuracy now.

It should definitely be close. The average will be between your min and max powers, etc, but I'm pretty sure it will be an underestimate. For an interval, where you try to generate a constant power, it will be very close because the actual real time power reading is correct an intervals have a low variance (locally the power resistance curve is approximately linear). If you do a long workout with varying power you will probably a very low average for the power, and this is the reason why. You can look at the function on the Kurt Kinetic website.
I should point out to clarify that I think the instantaneous power is measured correctly.
