  1. My trainer/back tire, is so noisy. It sounds like the tire rubber is scweequing against the roller. I've changed the tire, put more air, wiped it, put the knob tighter, looseer, but nothing seems to work. Did this happen to you. I always read how quiet the trainer is, but not in my case.

  2. The knob was hard to tighten on mine until I sprayed a little silicone where it makes contact with the resistance unit being careful not to get any on the roller. I do a coast down test from 20mph and if it is less than 11 seconds tire squeeking dissapears even when sprinting maybe a chirp or two if I accelarate fast to max speed but no slipping.

  3. So are you saying it's the knob? I turn mine about 4/5 times for good resistance. Maybe it too much or not enough?

I was told I didn't have enough air in my tire, I pumped it, it was great for a couple of months then it went back to the squeeking.

  4. When you say you've wiped the tire, does that mean you've cleaned it with degreaser? I've found that to greatly reduce slippage, especially after I've had a road ride. After cleaning, make sure the tire and trainer wheel are dry before use.
