I was disappointed to see Krum finish out of the places in the 800 last
night. Interested in more educated opinions as to what happened. Could it
be:
* The early fast pace neutralized his kick?
* The attempt to double took away some of his focus for the 800?
* He was aiming to peak in Athens and the other competitors peaked for the
trials? I believe at least 2 of the 3 ran PBs.
* He didn't think Johnson and Robinson could stay away from the pack the
whole race?
* He was only looking to qualify and didn't know Peterson had such a
finishing kick?
* It looked like he got pushed around a bit early in the race, did this
matter?
* Something else?
The only statement I have seen from Krummenacker is, "Some days it happens,
and some days it doesn't. I could just tell today wasn't going to be a great
day for me." Reported here:

I wonder at what point he suspected it would not be a great day.
