Ordered the Kona Coiler the day they became available, been on it for about a week now. I am coming off of a 2003 Jamis Dakar XLT and was looking for a little beefier of a bike that could take a pounding but didnt weigh 40+ pounds. The marzocchi drop off is also great, it also seems inactive until it needs to be, this bike seems to be built around this great suspension, and it turned out perfect. Its also alot more comfortable then the stinky for all around riding and you dont really feel the wieght when your riding. I am very pleased with this bike and i am very glad that kona decided to make a freeride bike for people who ride up to go down. The frame came with the show bikes all white front triangle and all black rear, rather then the pictured black/white combo front... if it matters to you. On top of the overall great ride of the bike it looks great too.

Similar story here, been on mine since 9/2/03 and love it. Fox ProPedal works! Easy to climb with, considering its not an xc racer, very nimble, jumps well, etc. I changed seat to a WTB Laser TI, will next change bars, as stock ones are a bit narrow for my taste at 25", and tires. Otherwise this bike rocks. I reccomend it as a great all around bike for only $1600.

I love muy Coiler built it myself because I dis-like the cheap Kona spec. Pro pedal works, I also enjoy the z-1 freeride and use the eta. I have to climb alot around here and it works very well!
