Does anybody here know anybody participating in any of the runs for
the cure? In case so, I wanted to let you know about a new site we've
created for folks participating in "...for the Cure" events (I hasten
to add that it's *completely* free, and we put it up just to help
facilitate folks who are participating in the events - it's our way of
helping these events now that I can no longer personally
participate). It is for anybody at all who is participating in any
such events. The purpose was to create a single site which could act
as a community - with an easy to remember URL - for folks
participating in Cure events to be able to say "go to this easy-to-
remember site and my sponsorship link is there."
Here's a bit more about the site:
The Site for the Cure is a site which allows anyone participating in
any charity event such as a walk, race, run or ride for charity to
talk about what they are doing and why they are doing it, to talk
about the event, and to link to their own sponsor page in order to
raise sponsorship funds. The Site for the Cure allows people to search
by name, location, cause, and event for people to sponsor.
You can search for people participating in charity events by location,
by cause, or by event. You can also participate in our forums!
And, of course, if you are someone who is participating on a charity
event, this is the place for you! Pull up a spot, put your information
up, along with a link to your sponsorship page, and let everyone know
where to find you!
This site is dedicated to Rachel, who is a cancer survivor, and
Douglas, who wasn't.

The site is a community site with a spot for anyone who wants to put
up a page, blogs for the users, and forums.
The *primary* purpose is to allow people to put up their sponsorship
link, and so that others could easily *find* people to sponsor, and
sponsor them.
Please, if you or anybody you know is doing a Race or other Event for
a Cure, please let them know about it; we really are motivated to help
people who are doing these courageous things, on behalf of even more
courageous loved ones.
