Anyone have any good training info on how to avoid knee stress when climbing. I like to climb out of the saddle when going up the steep hills. This puts a lot of stress on the quads, which is fine, but why the knees? After a 75 miler Sunday with about 7 or 8 good climbs, my knee cap area is sensitive to say the least. Any help or suggestions is appreciated.

High cadence spinning is less stressful for your knees.

Raise your seat a little bit pace your climbs keep efforts below L6 and L7 for a while... endurance pace is good therapy and IMO an egg yolk and vitamin C helps repair joints.
