  1. I'm diagnosed with Pes Anserine Tendonitis/Bursitis (medial knee, below the joint, where some of the hamstrings attach) by the GP and set on the RICE regimen, NSAIDs and PT. I think the problem came up from too many weekend hikes up and down NH mountains - I've been tracking the bike but didn't add the outdoor rec when the weather turned nice.

PT has been doing hydrocortisone ultrasound over the area 3x weekly, as well as dexamethasone iontophoresis. I've reduced the float on my pedals and am doing lots more stretching, as perscribed. I'm bringing the biking back up slowly and doing weights - things are going well, 5wk after the acute phase and 3wk into PT.

The only catch - a yellow-green bruise the size of a quarter has appeared over the site, and a vein has appeared enlarged and very visible tracking from the bruise down to my ankle. PT has no idea.

I'll check with the GP next week, but thought I'd see if anyone has a similar experience or other thoughts.
