  1. Since exactly one year now I have knee problems: irritated ligaments resulting from "overtraining"
    (actually in a relative sense, my muscles had probably become too weak to go running 20km just now
    and then). The pain was first unbearable then, after several moments much less. Since then, some
    times it starts again and then it takes a few months or weeks for (partial) recovery. Doctor says:
    training should help but obviously not too much training. The physiotherapist gives execrcices, but
    not lifting weight with my legs, but rather knee bends. What would you think is the best therapy.
    One year of minimal running is a lot, but the addiction is not yet gone. Perhaps a relevant detail
    is my age. Hmm, well let's face it, 50 years. If that is too old to recover from this kind of
    injury, I don't want to hear
    it.
