  1. Hey I'm a high school runner with a pretty good 5k time (17:30) and now
im trying to get geared up for track. the day after one of my intense
workouts in november, i felt a small "pop" sort of thing in my knee. It
happened gradually over the course of the run, but still even now it
still sort of pops when i move my knee. It hurt at first when i ran,
but i could still run with minor form changes. I've taken a 5 week
break and am ready to start up again. I was wondering what people think
and whether they think it will be a lasting pain that ill always have
to deal with or that the pain before was just because irritation.

I'd get a sports doc to check it out if it still bothers you after
    five weeks.

    cheers,
