Some good friends of ours are making plans for a major kitchen remodeling. For the new range they were considering either a Wolf, or one made in France called LaCanche. They have pretty well decided that it will be the LaCanche. They must be one of the last couples on earth without an Internet connection so have asked me to do a bit of research. Any one in this group have any experience with a LaCanche range? Either pro or con? Any comparisons between Wolf & LaCanche? I found them on the 'net at: http://www.lacancheusa.com/lacanche/index.htm Googling on LaCanche brings lots of hits. Mega pricey!

Let me guess. The LaCanche cost more than the Wolf so they will never be happy with the Wolf knowing there is something "better" out there because it cost more. Is this a real cook's kitchen or a showplace?

I guess I'd have to say some of each. They are both good cooks and do a lot of entertaining. I think about 50% would fall into "showplace" in the wishes of the female side ;-). Ross. To email, remove the "obvious" from my address.
They look very nice. I'm not sure they are worth the price, but they look very nice.
