Kinder Scout

Edale, Jacobs Ladder, Kinder Low, Downfall, Kinder Gates, Crowden Head then
back down Grindsbrook will be about 15km.

15k at 3 an hour-ish plus the climb, plus the bogs, plus getting lost a
bit............!

Probably 6-7 hours ish?

Are you going to the pub? Make sure you know the last train back, they are
more frequent on Saturdays, only every 2 hours on Sundays.

Your estimation seems ok if you're quick walkers. Don't forget time needed
for navigation in the mist, or time needed to pull yourself out of bogs if
its wet. The key to the traverse across to the Downfall is finding the
groughs that lead to the River Kinder - all water flows this way once you're
in the right drainage pattern. One way to get back is via Kinder Low and
Jacobs Ladder, but this does involve a tedious bit of re ascent near Upper
Booth at the end of the day, if you choose to use the Pennine Way.

And if the track isn't being repaired at weekends, as it was when I went
there in March.
