Kids bike?

I bought my son a Haro F3 bmx when he turned 4, and a Trek MT60 at 6. He is now 10 and still has the Haro, but has taken over my Giant Warp DS1 Mt bike. Different bikes for different purposes. If you get him one bike, buy what he does most, trick stuff or straight riding. I like the Haro because I get to play on it from time to time. If you go Mt bike, you might consider a Trek 220. An adjustable 24" mt bike for kids from 6 to 12, unless your kids like mine......at age 8 and 10, they are both on 26" mt bike and doing some distance riding. BMX are good through adult, he won't be in the MT bike long before needing a larger one. I've already got 2 Trek MT220s for sale, on boys and one girls, but you know how it goes, they grow so quick.

thanks for the advice. i was thinking along the same lines. my son cant decide which he wants, wants both,,, im sure you know how that goes, i think im gonna go with a Haro, since they own Masi anyway, keep it in the family. he can do most of the mountain biking i do with a bmx anyway, i think, otherwise i won't do such tough trails when he is with me. thx again. keep pedaling!

Grant rides the Haro around the subdivision with friends, getting fairly crazy, but if we ride the greenway, Katy trail or anything over 10 miles, he rides the Giant. Rach just rides the GT everywhere.
