There are plenty of opportunities to road ride in the Keystone area. Like to climb? Head up route 6
to Loveland Pass. Like rolling terrain? Take the paved bike path to Dillon, Frisco, and then Copper
Mountain. You'll have to leave the trail for a few blocks in Frisco to pick up the trail to Copper.
Want more climbing? Keep going from Copper up Vail Pass. Another option, once in Frisco instead of
turning right on the trail to Cooper, turn left and follow that trail to Breckenridge. On the way
back to Keystone from Breckenridge you can take the "shortcut" over Swan Mountain Road instead of
circumnavigating Lake Dillon. It's a fun, steep, but short climb; follow by a fun descent.

If you want to haul your bike in a car to a good place to ride, try Leadville. There's a good road
loop around Turquoise Lake and a paved bike path (the highest dedicated paved bike trail in the US)
that tours some old mining areas. Check at the visitor's center on the right as you enter town from
the north. They'll give you all the info you'll need.

There are cycling maps of Summit County available at most bike shops and/or book stores in the area.
These will show all the local trails, both paved and MTB.

Keystone and Summit County has a few good possibilities. If you are into climbing, then you can ride
from Keystone at elevation ~9000ft up to Loveland Pass at almost 12,000ft. Not too far in distance,
but 4 miles of 6% grade included.

There is an ok road riding around Dillon Reservoir, and also good off-road paved paths between
Breckenridge and over Vail Pass.

So dependending on what you are looking for, Summit County has good riding including: -- passes &
climbing (Hoosier Pass, Vail Pass, Loveland Pass) -- general road riding (e.g. around Dillon
Reservoir) -- off-road paved paths (e.g. Dillon reservoir, Breckenridge to Vail,...)

Last time I was there you could bike from Keystone to Dillon to Breck to just about anywhere on
paved dedicated bike trails and almost never cross traffic. Now I have not lived in Colorado for 7
years but I can only imagine they would improve the system.
