Kew crits ... aren't on today, as I found out after I went for a short ride down to watch the action. Stupid thing is, I checked the Hawthorn club calendar for the start times and the date was right there in front of me. And to add to that I got a puncture at the crit circuit (that'll teach me to delay putting on my new tyres).
I figured seeing I was there anyway I should see what the infamous Yarra St is like. Glad I have a triple, not sure if I would have made it otherwise. Then had a casual ride back along the Yarra/Koonung trail which had more traffic than the eastern Fwy in peak hour. I figured by the number of last year's ATB jerseys, everyone was out training for this year's ride.
