Why is it that so many people feel the need to yell at me
during my cycle-commute? I have been chased by drunks, had
people try to push me over, and had all sorts of stuff
yelled at me. Is there something so utterly antisocial
about cycling or is it that these people are just a bunch
of ignorant yahoos? I'm starting to feel like Kafka. Last
night going home there were lots of people out returning to
their cars from watching fireworks. Many of them felt is
necessary to say things like "Go Lance, go!" or lean out of
a car window and say "wanna race?". What they dont realize
is that when one is riding there is a surge of adrenalin
(and other chemicals) making it difficult to resist
accusing these yahoos of being lazy, ignorant pussies who
think their ability to step on a gas pedal is a measurement
of their manhood. -and they are always in groups! people
suck. -Lance Armstrong
