First of all, I would like to introduce myself as Ralph Pabelico, 15 years of age and live in Central Florida. I have decided to cycle. I quit tennis because it was not the sport for me and I am mostly about speed. I am fast in short distances and long distances, though I excel in short distances more and I have not really received the same results in long distances. Where should I start? What bike should I purchase? Any other information I need to know. Thanks to all fellow cyclists.

Hey, I am 15 as well, you started Cycling at the right time because the racing season is about to start. I just joined a team in my town and I also just got a TREK 1500. One thing you will need to get is a bike computer so you know your distance and speed, I understand Florida is a really flat area with only a few hills. Where I live large hills are common, on a good day I can usually ride 35 miles at about 19 1/2 MPH average.
What kind of distance's (in miles) do you ride?
How much money do you have available to purchase a bike?
Welcome to Cycling, Its a great sport and you will love it!😄
P.S: Here is a list of good begineer bikes:
1. Schwinn Fastback Sport ($550.00)
2. TREK 1000 (699.99)
3. Giant OCR-3 (about $600-800.00)
4. KHS Flite ($850.00)
5. TREK 1200 ($800-899)Here's bikes I would love to own
1. Trek Livestrong Limited Edition ($9,499.00)
2.Trek Madone 5.2 ($3000.00) this is my future bike
3.Cannodale Six13 ($5199)Here is the bike I own
1. Trek 1500 ($1099)
