Spent a lot of energy taking turns, had a go in a break that lasted half a lap and had nothing left for the final... oh well. A few weeks off the bike will do that to you, but I doubt it would have made much difference.
The A-grade crowd was motoring - a small group arrived with a motorcycle escort with spare wheels and flashing lights. Now *that* is the way to arrive at a club race.
