well... it pays to have a NY State Trooper as a fellow biker and good friend. I was out riding back from her house one day (summer time in Rochester, NY) and I'm riding with traffic in the far right lane, keeping up to speed. It is stop and go at about 20 mph. I am going down the road and a car is behind me honking. There is no one in the lane next to us, so they had ample opportunity to pass me. They stay there for about 5 minutes, then they finally pull up next to me and two people in the passenger side (front and back seats) start throwing garbage at me while I'm on my bike. I look at their plate and just repeated their number over and over in my head until I could pull over and write it down. I called up my friend and told her what had happened. I gave her their plate number and she showed up at their residence and gave the owner of the vehicle a ticket. It was great! It was nice to see some justice, since I've been hit twice and nearly hit a dozen more times than that.

What a great story! Well done! I love to see an idiot in a car get what they deserve when they harass a cyclist. I have had a lot of similar things happen and never got any justice out of it.
