No Free Lunch is initiating its "Drug Free Practitioners"
Listing. This listing will be made up of health care
providers who have pledged to be "Drug company free," that
is, free of drug company money and influence in their
clinical practice, teaching, and research. Among the
objectives of the listing are:

1. To provide a mechanism for patients to find health care
providers who practice medicine on the basis of
evidence, rather than promotion.

2. To raise awareness of this issue both among the public
and the medical profession, thereby maintaining
pressure on the profession to mend its ways, as well as
individual practitioners (or researchers) to mend
theirs. Those taking the pledge will be listed on this
website and in addition will receive a certificate
certifying them "drug company free" for display in
their office. The listing will be by Country,
State/Province, and Specialty. Names will be
accompanied by City, however, full addresses will not
posted on the website.

Also include your specialty/area and mailing address for
mailing of the certificates. The list will be uploaded
onto this website in the near future. Certification will
be on the "honors system," though unannounced random "drug
testing" may be undertaken.
