Cyclingnews carries the report that John Ibbotson died suddenly today.
I never met the man but I used to read his website with great interest and I am aware that he helped a lot of people and encouraged a lot of people in this sport.
As far as I know John raced professionally and was a very talented rider.
His untimely death is a shock.
May he rest in peace.
