I note the passing of one of the great Americans of the 20th century, the economist JK Galbraith, who died last week at the venerable age of 97.
(OK Galbraith was born in Canada - but he lived and worked in the USA).
His book The Affluent Society is one that I re-read continually.
May he rest in peace.
Never read that tome, but perhaps I should.
