Jersey for the fall

I heartily dislike the wind-stopper jerseys my wife bought me for warm
weather -- they do a good job of stopping the wind from cooling me.
That said, they felt pretty good last week on morning commutes in the
60s. I was glad I took the short route home those days, because it
warmed up by afternoon.

BTW, you might want to wash any jersey more often than once per week.

Have you considered buying a windstopping vest instead? It is useful at many
different times of the year and you can continue to wear your regular
jerseys under it.

The Louis Garneau Blizzard. it is a wonderful garment. Warm,
wind-stopping, and seems to breathe well.

I don't wear it as a jersey (have something else on underneath) but I
suppose you could. As a jacket it's exactly what I want. Tied for
favourite bike apparel with my Ergo-G bib shorts.

Regarding the vest-vs-jacket-vs-jersey debate, I think layers are a good
thing, and I tend to find that if my body is getting cold, my arms are
probably cold too.
