Burzinski sits back on his bum, gives no information on his web site, publishes nothing in either
peer-reviewed journals or the "alternative" journals, and allows his supporters to quote figures
giving the impression of a high cure rate becasue most people won't know how to interpret them. I
know that. he knows exactly what he is doing, even if Jan doesn't.

Of course the myth of FDA/AMA/Gummint/WHO suppression of effective cancer cures works beautifully to
make it unnecessary for quacks like Burzynski to respond to such criticism. Any attack at all on
their actitivites can be blamed on the conspiracy.

Few outside medicine have any idea what ethical medical and authentic scientific behaviour looks
like. Thus the most specious of excuses for deceptive practices will be accepted, especially by
those also driven by desperation.

Isn't there a question of him using the Ph.d title after his M.D.? Something about when his
credentials were checked with his University back "in the old country", such a program was not
available until after he came to the U.S.?

BTW, I didn't mean to imply that he couldn't have gotten use of that title elsewhere in the
intervening 30+ years; only what the end of the story actually was.

There are those that misuse their "degrees" and those who outright lie about them.

Recently, a net loon by the name of Betty Martini began being addressed as
Dr. Betty Martini and is now claiming that she has an honorary degree.

Even assuming that is so, and I have found indication of wherre she allegedly was allegedly granted
this honorary dergee, calling oneself "Dr." is an act of hubris.

However, I suspect that she recevied her honorary title from the same school that Hulda got her mail
order degree.
