Hello fellow two wheeled enthusiasts!
I am looking for some advice on a decent bike to commute around the bendigo area on. I mainly want to use it for trips to and from shops, uni, work etc etc so up to the 20k mark roughly. I know a guy that knows a guy that knows a guy that can do me a good deal on any bike from Jamis so i was wondering if i could get a few informed opinions. If it's possible, i would also like to take it on a few rides out on some bush tracks (eg One tree hill etc). Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

jamis make some pretty sweet rides and their range is pretty extensive
maybe a hardtail would be your best choice... they do both steel and Al
