No opinion on the Jamis (other than: go to the LBS, try lots
of bikes and buy the one that fist best) - but don't get too
hung up on the business of trying to find one for the missus
which is the same style. Or indeed a ladies' frame. It's not
certain that both of you need the same frame geometry, so if
you both buy the bike that fits best it's quite likely they
will be entirely different bikes; many women find that
modern sloping tube MTBs are perfectly acceptable without
going for a mixte frame.

Hey, wait - have you considered a tandem?
