No, not the nursery rhyme, but the two windmills of that name alongside the
South Downs Way north of Brighton - the start of my walk today.
Headed east from home at 6:45 this morning for a very quite drive to the
windmills. Weather as forecast, overcast poor visibility and a little cool.
Not as cool as recent days though. Anyway, soon kitted up and on my way
south, zigzagging east along tracks and paths. Joined the South Downs way
northeast of the University of east Sussex and headed up to Plumton Plain
where I had lunch. Nice Lakeland view north ....... not a lot to see!
Lunch over, it was west along the South Downs to Ditchling Beacon. A bit of
time-wasting watching a couple of paragluiders with me taking plenty of
photos, before continuing back to jack and Jill ..... bless em!
Not the best of days for photos, but good weather for walking. Little wind,
not too cold on the move, and very refreshing. Excellent 13 mile circuit,
with a selection of photos from along the route on my website.
