He seems a nice enough bloke but I have been wondering this myself. I seem
to recall he's a stand in for someone else who dropped out at the last
minute and he seems a specialist in sitting on the fence!

Sent that too soon...I was trying to work out where I knew him from- its the
Tour De Langkawi, he does race information in the radio tour department. I
just checked the info in my race manual
I've also seen him in Spain during the Vuelta.
