Davitamon cyclist Robbie McEwen has been questioned by Italian police over the use of hypobaric equipment seized from the team hotel on Wednesday.
The Australian, who said the equipment was not used by him, was interviewed after the Giro d'Italia's 12th stage.
Hypobaric machines, which replicate high-altitude environments, are not banned by the International Cycling Union and World Anti-Doping Agency. However, they do contravene the stricter Italian laws.
