  1. Took off my rear wheel yesterday and noticed a spoke was broken, so I went to my LBS and got 3
spokes for 90p and a new chain while I was there. On returning home, I just about got the rear
cassette off , busting the tool in the process . After fitting the spoke, I saw that the free hub
bearing was damaged and the ball bearings were now visible, so that was that.

Today all the LBSs are shut, so I was left with buying a new back wheel at Halfords for 29 quid,
only to find out that it has an 8 speed free hub and my rear 7 speed cassette won't fit on the
    spline without a spacer. aaaaargh!
