All,
I started lifting about 8 months ago and saw some good gains, but, I
have hit a wall. I am now doing some supplements. I went to GNC and
got a few whey proteins, but it made me totally sick, so, I switched to
Soy and that doesn't bother me at all. Problem is the results with Soy
weren't great. Here is my new regiment:
Taking 4 twinlab ripped fuel pills in the AM
After workout - 50 Gram shake of low-carb isopure
Before bed - 50 Gram soy protein GNC shake
My goal is to get leaner and increase muscle size. I'm 5'8, 185, and
need to loose some in the gut/love handles/butt. I work out 4 days a
week (mostly weights), but, have just switched it to more cardio than
weights.
Any other supplements I should be doing??? Anything I can add to
isopure to make it taste better?? (using Vanilla flavor with water)
Any comments on Soy vs Whey??

Any comments on Soy vs Whey??For the isopure whey, vanilla will mix with nearly anything.
I've used sugar free kool-aid. ;-) You can use unsweetened kool-aid and
add splenda if you are trying to avoid nutri-sweet (and I am).Or, a packet or three of fat free non-dairy creamer also helps if you
just continue using water. Helps with their low carb chocolate flavor
also. Watch the carbs in the non-dairy creamer!HTH?

Soy and that doesn't bother me at all. Problem is the results with Soy

decreases testosterone levels which will go against muscle building and
general male hormonal patterns.Soy is a phytoestrogen, also known as a plant estrogen.
Not sure exactly to what extent it increases estrogen, but if it was me I
would switch to something without soy in it.
