Hi Buddy,
Right need your advice as I’ve finally talked myself down from spending 3.5 K on my first serious, FS mountain bike and decide to go for a sensible super tuff hardtail so I can hit the trail this winter and get in some hill training / air time.
It was a tricky.. but know I would like to know if you think this bike could handle anything you could throw at it. Yes you as I’m not skill enough to be called a mud monkey yet. And whether there is anything that is really gank and shouldn’t be allow on a bike as I’m not familiar with off-road components.
And the bare metal is a Santa Cruz Chameleon in metal polish….
With a Free Ride kit set up and a Fox TALAS 36 fork

Chose the Free Ride Kit as it suppose to be indestructible. The only weak point is maybe a 36 Tooth ring on the front, but as my hybrid has 44 and not used in the last 1000+ miles and I still cruise on the 34 at over 20 mph I can’t see this being a problem.
Chose the Fox TALAS 36 RC2 as these look mental, 36 mm of real metal and only a click or two to adjustment from 4” to 5” to 6” travel.. Will give me a chance to learn how to use suspension properly before getting bounced outta the saddle.
Final Question is Polished Frame going to last as long as a powder coated frame?

And the burning question is........should i buy a Santa Cruz Nomad instead?? or is this just plain silly!!!

oh and is it gay??😄

Thanks for you time advice and looking forward to trying to keep up with you on the trails.....
