Quoted message said:Hi. I'm a 38 yo, 5'7" male and was wondering if my sample diet below is OK if I want to reduce
weight and lift and run moderately.
Breakfast: 1 cup of cereal + one cup of low fat milk + one banana Snack: 1 banana Lunch: 1 can of
tuna + four slices of wheat bread Snack: 1/2 cup of yogurt Dinner: 1 1/2 cups of yogurt + 1/2 can
of chicken + 1/2 cup of vegetables
Sometimes my diet is lower than the one above and I was wondering how I can now if I'm overeating
or undereating
Thanks much in advace

Dunno what your question really is. If you can, you can; if you can't you can't.
The diet you outline as a sample could be worse, but also could be better. Probably better to
exchange other fruit for some of the banana (berries, for instance), and more vegetables in exchange
for and in addition to some of the dairy and grains. Bread is notorious for being high glycemic
index, as are some cereals (i.e corn flakes and the like. Exceptions being oatmeal, high fiber
cereals such as Fiber One and All Bran with Extra Fiber, and flax and nut mixes, for instance.)
