Is there free wi-fi in France, Germany, UK?

Would I be able to use my ipod touch and get free wi-fi to send emails, etc in France, Netherlands, Germany, UK?

yes in every coffee shop and MC Donalds. It might be a good idea to download the skype app on your touch setup an account that way you can make calls really cheap. I would also download a map of the tube and metro very useful.
