have altered my running style recently.... please bear in mind i don't
know that much about running...
anyhow, noticed that i seem to expend alot of energy on pushing my
body upwards with every step when running... i just realized one day,
"why don't you push your body forward more with each step", basically
for same energy, i put more of it into the horizontal vector.........
and this worked really well, i'm much faster for basically any
exertion level and i seem to have good endurance.
i've run this way probably 4 times now, but the other night i felt a
pretty good muscle pull or sprain in my back... made me notice that
the horizontal pushoff necessitates that you lean forward more... does
that forward lean put alot more pressure on the back muscles?? makes
sense that it does. do i have to strengthen the back muscles, or will
they just get used to new running style?? or, basically both???
thanks for any replies in advance.
