  1. I recently expressed to my family that I have poor eating habits
    (according to misc.fitness.weights)

So as a present I was given 6 cases of Ensure.

    Is it a good supplement?

Im thinking about using it instead of a protein shake, as a meal or a
    snack.

Is that a good idea, or is it full of "bad" calories?

    Thanks

Altho 'nice' of your family in some twisted sort of way, they seem to
have no clue what good nutrition is or should be. Probably where you
got your lack of nutritional education from, its up to your to increase
your learning curve. Supplementing in any way doesnt replace healthy
food choices, its supposed to be 'in addition to' not in place of. Yeah
sure have an Ensure with that bag of chips just quite doesnt make it.
Ensure basically is for old/sickly people who cannot eat enough to
maintain their weight(hopefully you dont fall into either category).

So I guess not to look down on your 'gift' whats the best way to use
these? You have the box in front of you. Look at the nutritional stats.
How many calories in each can? How much protein, carbs, fats? How much
sugar is in them? You could use them as an inbtween snack or with a
full meal depending on how full they make you feel, but DONT use them
as a meal replacement. Nothing makes up for eating healthy.

No, it is total [censored]. Table sugar, some vitamins, and more sugar. Give
    it to a homeless shelter.

What are some good places to learn more about nutrition?

I meant I would use the Ensure instead of a protein shake.
You know how most people eat 5-6 meals a day.
But its usually 3 meals, and like 2 shakes or something.
So I figure I use a can or 2 instead of a shake.

Or maybe I can put a scoop of protein powder into the can of ensure?

    Thanks
