  1. What is everyone's opinion on the Cervelo P2K as a bike used in an Ironman event? I have been told
that I will be really uncomfortable on my P2K as P2K's aren't made for an IronDistance event. They
are better for Olympic and Half Iron events. Any truth to this? Thanks! M~

No, no truth to it. Where ever you got that advice, I'd look else where for future advice.

Good Luck! David Never give up, Be satisfied w/ your best, Do unto others.....

  3. I did IMCDA on a P2K this past June. It's a great ride and I felt very good coming out of T2. I did
a number of 100 plus mile rides in training for this event and never felt that the frameset was
    wearing me out.

Many people look upon Alum framesets as being harsh. This isn't always the case. I ride a Trek 2300
for training that is pretty harsh. In comparision my P2K is very comfortable. Frame design and
quality have as much to do with the ride of an Alum bike as materials.

Also, fit is a huge concern. My Cervelo was fitted perfectly by Transition Sports in California. Fit
    is everything (*almost).

Check out www.slowtwitch.com for a survey of bikes used in Kona....lotsa Cervelos out there.

Actually, the material contributes very, very little to "ride comfort" (I'd obviously be the first
one to say otherwise were it so).

Fit IS "almost everything". Having a light, aero, hi-zoot bike that doesn't fit won't get you to the
finish line as well as a cheap, heavy bike that does.
