  1. Irish Soda Bread

    8 cup flour
    2 cup sugar
    3 Tbsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. baking soda
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    2 cup raisins
    3 eggs, well beaten
    3/4 cup butter, melted
    1 qt. buttermilk

    Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and cream of tartar in a
    bowl.
    Add raisins and stir. Stir in eggs and melted butter. Add buttermilk.
    With wooden spoon mix until well blended. Divide dough into 3 equal
    portions. Lightly grease bread pans. Bake in preheated oven at 305 degrees
    for 1 hour. (If not done after 1 hour, check every 5 minutes.)
